Golf Simulators That Fit Small Spaces in Dubai: A Practical Setup Guide

  • 6 min read

The smallest Anywhere Golf Simulator enclosure from Cero Golf sets up in a floor area of 2.6 x 2.5 metres with a standing height of 1.5 metres. Golf simulators that fit small spaces in Dubai are a practical option for apartment spare rooms, home offices, compact garages, and villa study rooms, as long as the ceiling clears the minimum height for the enclosure size you choose.

Cero Golf supplies three Anywhere Golf bundle tiers, Par, Birdie, and Eagle, with a choice of six enclosure sizes. All six use the same pop-up frame system and can be assembled or packed down without specialist tools. We ship our bundles across the UAE and the wider GCC, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait.

The Six Enclosure Sizes

Every Anywhere Golf bundle comes with one of six enclosure options. You choose the size when you configure your bundle. The dimensions are width x depth x height:

  • Option 1: 2.6 x 2.5 x 1.5m

  • Option 2: 3.0 x 2.5 x 1.5m

  • Option 3: 3.6 x 2.5 x 1.5m

  • Option 4: 4.0 x 2.5 x 1.5m

  • Option 5: 3.0 x 3.0 x 3.0m

  • Option 6: 4.0 x 3.0 x 3.0m

Options 1 through 4 share the same 1.5 metre ceiling height and 2.5 metre depth. They vary in width from 2.6 to 4 metres. These four are the most practical choices for spaces with standard ceiling heights, and Option 1 is the one that fits where a large wardrobe or single sofa bed would fit.

Options 5 and 6 are taller enclosures at 3 metres high. These are designed for dedicated simulator rooms, garages with high ceilings, or commercial installations where ceiling clearance is not a constraint.

Which Spaces Work for Golf Simulators That Fit Small Spaces in Dubai

Apartment Spare Rooms

A standard spare bedroom or study in a Dubai apartment typically measures 3 to 4 metres wide and 3 to 4 metres deep, with ceilings at 2.6 to 2.8 metres. Option 1 (2.6m wide) or Option 2 (3.0m wide) will fit in most spare rooms without requiring the furniture to be removed permanently. The enclosure depth is 2.5 metres, which leaves at least 0.5 to 1 metre behind the golfer for comfortable swing clearance.

The ceiling is not a constraint for Options 1 through 4, which only need 1.5 metres of internal standing height. The enclosure frame adds a small amount above that, so ensure the room ceiling is at least 2.0 metres to allow the frame to sit properly.

Home Offices

A compact home office set up along one wall of a room can usually accommodate Option 1 in the same space. The enclosure can be left assembled between sessions or folded and stored flat. Setup time is typically under 20 minutes.

Garages

Garages in Dubai and Abu Dhabi vary widely in ceiling height. Single-car garages are usually 2.2 to 2.5 metres to the ceiling, which accommodates Options 1 through 4 comfortably. Double-car garages or villa garages often have ceilings at 2.8 metres or above, making Options 5 and 6 viable if you want a full standing height simulator with more ceiling clearance.

The floor area of a standard single-car garage in the UAE is approximately 3 x 5.5 metres, enough for Option 1 or Option 2 with room to spare. Converted garages are one of the most common setups in Cero Golf residential installations and bundle sales.

Villa Studies and Media Rooms

A dedicated room with double-height ceilings or a converted study with 3 metres of clearance opens up Options 5 and 6. These two larger enclosures create a more immersive environment because they are the same width and depth as Options 3 and 4 but taller, giving the golfer natural vertical space rather than a contained overhead feel.

Ceiling Height: the Critical Dimension for Small Spaces

For golf simulators that fit small spaces in Dubai, the most common sizing error buyers make is measuring only floor area without checking ceiling height. The rule is straightforward:

  • Options 1 through 4 need a minimum of approximately 2.0 metres of ceiling clearance to erect the frame. The internal standing height is 1.5 metres, but the frame structure extends higher than that.

  • Options 5 and 6 need a minimum of approximately 3.2 metres of ceiling clearance.

Most standard Dubai and Abu Dhabi residential buildings have ceilings at 2.6 to 2.8 metres, which comfortably accommodates Options 1 through 4. If you have a mezzanine space, a low-ceiling storeroom, or a compact villa room with dropped ceiling features, measure the lowest point in the room and confirm it clears 2.0 metres before selecting any of the four lower-profile enclosures.

Launch Monitor Options for Compact Setups

The launch monitor you choose does not significantly affect the floor space requirement. All launch monitors in the Cero Golf bundle range, from the Garmin R10 to the Foresight GCQuad MAX, are compact portable units placed at floor level behind the ball. They do not require additional space beyond what the enclosure already allocates.

What does affect small-space usability is the recommended minimum distance between the launch monitor and the ball. Most launch monitors in the bundle range work from approximately 1.5 to 2.0 metres behind the tee position. This distance is already built into the 2.5 metre enclosure depth, so Option 1 through Option 6 all accommodate the tracking distance requirements of every launch monitor available in the Anywhere Golf range.

If you are comparing launch monitors for a small-space setup, the choice is better guided by your budget and the data you want to track than by the space itself.

Common Questions About Small-Space Simulators

Do I need to modify the room or wall?

No permanent modification is needed for any of the Anywhere Golf bundles. The enclosure is freestanding. The impact screen is held within the enclosure frame. No wall mounting, ceiling mounting, or structural work is required. This is one of the main advantages of a pop-up enclosure format over a fixed built-in installation.

Can I take the enclosure down between sessions?

Yes. The pop-up frame system is designed to be assembled and disassembled repeatedly. If you are using a spare room that doubles as a guest room or home office, you can set up for a session and pack it away afterward. Most users leave it assembled if the room is dedicated to the simulator, since reassembly does take time.

Does the projector need to be mounted to the ceiling?

The Par bundle comes with a floor-standing projector stand, so no ceiling mounting is needed. The Birdie and Eagle bundles also include stands. Ceiling mounting is an option for custom installations where Cero Golf is designing a dedicated simulator room, but it is not required for any of the bundles.

What if my room is slightly under the minimum width?

Option 1 at 2.6 metres wide is the smallest available. If your room is under 2.6 metres wide, the bundle enclosure will not fit in that space. In that case, a custom installation is the alternative: Cero Golf can specify a built-in simulator for non-standard rooms, alcoves, or narrow layouts where a pop-up enclosure would not work.

Can I ship to Abu Dhabi or outside Dubai?

All Anywhere Golf bundles ship across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and other emirates. Shipping to GCC countries outside the UAE, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait, is calculated at checkout.

Finding the Right Size for Your Space

The straightforward way to check if a simulator will fit is to measure your available floor area and ceiling height and compare against the six enclosure sizes above. Option 1 at 2.6 x 2.5 metres is the starting point for any space, and four of the six options stay at the same 1.5 metre internal height, which suits most standard-ceiling residential rooms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
